WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT LOS CABOS NOW

Los Cabos is the area at the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula, and it encompasses two towns: San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. San José del Cabo has been transformed from a sleepy colonial village into a cultural hot spot full of galleries and stylish shops. Meanwhile, 20 miles away, fun-loving Cabo San Lucas couldn’t be more different: what was once the harbor of a tuna cannery is now a bustling downtown with a bustling marina and tequila-fueled party bars.

Travelers love Los Cabos for a number of reasons: weather, location, activities, and a “No Bad Days” attitude. The desert of Los Cabos gives way to not one, but two coasts, those of the Sea of Cortéz and the Pacific Ocean. Famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau once called Mexico’s Sea of Cortez ‘the world’s aquarium’ with some of the most incredible  opportunities to surf, dive, deep-sea fish, swim with whale sharks, or cruise by lovers arch. Los Cabos also boast a number of adventure activities like bungy jumping, horseback riding, mountain biking, and more.

Thanks to the area’s easy proximity to Los Angeles and private-jet friendly airport, Los Cabos attracts a celebrities, athletes, and entertainers looking for a getaway.Famous visitors include Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney and of course, there’s former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, who founded the infamous Cabo Wabo Cantina.

While Cabo doesn’t have an indigenous food scene of its own, it has blossomed into a melting pot of Mexican cuisine and farm-to-table principles thanks to businesses like Flora Farms, a restaurant and organic farm that also offers cooking classes, yoga, and shopping. Local cuisine also uses the local bounty of the sea for fresh ceviche and other traditional dishes with a unique Mexican twist on sashimi.

Los Cabos delivers the quintessential Mexican beach vacation: incredible hotels, mouth watering restaurants, world-class beaches, luxurious spas, and enough activities to stay going all day and night.
